Sometimes can be cattle in the field. From Esslie the Greater, taking a line from the recumbent stone across an obviously pointed stone it would appear to point directly at Essie the Lesser. |

There is a small parking area with an easy access to the field (saves scrambling over the consumption dyke). Two large stones lead from the parking area to a track parallel to the road and then through the dyke.
