The Devil's Quoits - a restored stone circle and henge in-situ. Quite how this escaped my radar for over a decade until the last month escapes me. Wormwood Hill submitted by Thorgrim on 14th Dec 2005. This massive barrow lies in woodland by the A1307 - date not established yet. It is accessible as it is in the grounds of Wandlebury Country Park. Not far from Wandlebury hill fort and the Via Devana Roman road from Godmanchester to Colchester, there is another round barrow at Copley Hill and the ploughed out Babraham long barrow near Meggs Hill.

Bartlow Hills submitted by Thorgrim on 17th Jul 2003. This is the largest barrow in Britain and very few people know of it. This Romano-British site at Bartlow is on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border at TL 586453. Originally the largest group in Europe when there were seven enormous barrows here. Then the now disused railway came through and flattened four of them! The largest survivor is 45 feet high and the highest in Britain by far.
