Log Text: Particularly atmospheric at night, these twin bathing ponds ( for the monks) are beautifully carved with exceptional engineering - and still contain water. They are considered to be a separate site within the complex.

At night experiencing the stupa lit up 100s of white dressed pilgrims worshipping and bringing offerings to the temples was extremely moving. Did not take photos of them as would have been disrespectful. But here's the lit up stupa. part of the UNESCO WHS but restored.
