Site WatchPro-hunt campaigners have been at it again - this time spraying graffiti on an ancient monument in Somerset reports the BBC.The Bronze Age cairns at Dunkery Beacon - Exmoor’s highest point - have been daubed with pro-hunting graffiti and a viewpoint indicator has been damaged.
The words "no hunt-no deer" were sprayed over the cairns, between mid-afternoon on Sunday and early Monday morning.
A spokesman for the National Trust, which owns the land and monuments, says the damage is a devastating blow to the heritage of Exmoor.
Removing the black and orange paint will be costly and time-consuming for the trust.
Police are appealing for anyone who was near the summit of Dunkery between 1500GMT on Sunday and dawn on Monday to come forward.
The Megalithic Portal has previously reported the attacks on the Maen Llia standing stone and the Uffington White Horse also believed to have been perpetrated by pro-hunt supporters.
