Barrow Cemetery in Rogaland
This site consists of two large round barrows and one tall and beautiful standing stone. The stone and the barrows are found in the middle of a small town and next to the local city hall.

When I visited the site it had begun to get dark and some of my pictures are a little blurry. I hope to return some day with better pictures!

The largest barrow is found to the north side of the small village in a small garden. The barrow is around 20 metres in diameter and around 2.5 metres in height. It has a very pretty shape and is overgrown with short grass and some few large trees.

To the south and next to the city hall is another pretty barrow. It is around 18 metres in diameter and around 1.5 metres in height. It is overgrown only with small grass and is easily visible.
Right next to the barrow and close to a large tree is a beautiful tall standing stone. The stone is around 4.5 metres in height, around 60cm wide at the base and around 30cm thick. The top ends in a sharp point. It is almost in the shape of a needle and tilting slightly.
The site originally had more monuments like barrows and standing stones but many of them have been lost to farming, road construction and construction of modern houses.
