Standing Stones in Rogaland. The Rennesøy municipality is an Eldorado for anyone wanting to see beautiful standing stones! There are several sites with huge beautiful Iron Age menhirs!
This site consists of two huge beautiful standing stones standing just 0,5 metre away from each other in the side of a small local road.
The tallest stone is around 5 metres in height, around 70cm wide and around 20 thick. It has the shape of a long stone slab. It has a rounded top and some moss is growing on it.
The lower stone is around 3 metres in height, around 75cm wide at the base and around 20cm thick. It has also a rounded top.
The two stones are located on a small hilltop between some local houses. The stones are visible for miles away!
