EventsThe Megalithic Portal web resource runs on its own server with a huge database, maps and image library and costs a significant amount to keep running long term. We receive no funding other than from our memberships, some small advertising revenue and a few sales from our online shop.

You can show your support by joining up as a Contributory Member, which gives you full membership of our non-profit making Megalithic Portal Society.

It's just £10 per year, or equivalent in your currency. Benefits of membership include:
  • Unlock full length GPS / Satnav data downloads
  • Free download of our iPhone app
  • 20% discount off items in our online shop, including our Old Stones book but not including jewellery
  • Full voting rights as a member of the Megalithic Portal Society
  • Store private data in our visit logs and Import / Export your logs
  • Removal of most of the on page ads when you are logged in to the site
  • Occasional competitions and exclusive offers
  • Access to our members' only forum
  • Or join for 3 years (£30), and receive an exclusive Megalithic Portal T shirt with free worldwide shipping

Join for 3 years (£30), and receive an exclusive Megalithic Portal T shirt

You can also join by Paypal with a payment directly to sales@megalithic.co.uk (please send an email as well so we don't miss it).

You don't have to pay online if you don't want to. If you join using one of the the links above there is the option to pay by cheque and we will send you the details. Alternatively just send us a cheque in UK pounds made payable to The Megalithic Portal along with your name, address and e-mail address if you have one. You can print and send a copy of our Membership Form if you like. Our address and contact details are here.

Note that you don't have to pay to become a basic member of our site, just register for a user ID. This is free and you can sign up here.

Once you are a paid up member we will need to upgrade your user ID so you can use the exclusive member features of the site . This may take a couple of days, and we will send you a welcome e-mail when this is done. You can also check here, where it will say "A Contributory Member, thanks for your support" at the top once you have been upgraded.

Many Thanks

Hi. I am an archaeology student in the US. Is it possible to pay the membership fee using US$ ? I do have access to my dad's paypal account if that route would be better. Thanks.

Oh and I am planning a visit to the Wellington Pillars when I go up to see friends. I will post on that when I can.

    Hello,
Unfortunately recent changes made by Google to Android made the app stop
working. It needs a complete rewrite. Martin our app developer is fixing it at
the moment amongst some other things. I don't have a date for it but hopefully
it won't be too long. I can put you on our waiting list for info if you drop me an email.

In the meantime try our mobile compatible maps on the yellow buttons at the
    top of this page
    https://www.megalithic.co.uk/asb_mapsquare.php

I hope you would still like to become a member.
You can have an ipad/iphone code for a friend as part of the membership.
    Thanks
    Andy

Are there any plans showing how to make a kite camera kit, and how you control it? As drones are frowned upon in many places, the kite option seems an excellent idea.

Going to join your site. Very interested in stones and their art work, and keep coming back to the site to see where stones are for when we are on holiday.

A very good and informative site.

Thank you for your time and dedication in keeping the site going.

Best wishes

Hi,
My family has been involves with research and investigation of over 800 Megalithic type sites in the northeastern part of America since 1955. My late father Robert Stone opened what is now known as America's Stonehenge to the public in 1958. He also started the research group New England Antiquities Research Association in1964. If you are interested you can check our website Stonehengeusa.com as well as NEARA.org. These sites seem to be a world wide event. My father and spent alot of time traveling to visit these sites both here and in Europe and even visited with Alexander Thom and his son Archabald in th early 1980's.

I am very interested in becoming a contributory member of The Megalithic Portal. I live in the USA, and have no idea how much US money to send. If you will shoot me a short note with the required monetary amount, I will print the membership form and mail it back to you with the funds A.S.A.P.

Thank you for your time!

Hello, to do this you need a Portal user ID and I need to manually upgrade it to a paid membership. I can usually work out what it is from your email address but sometimes they aren't the same. If you've not registered yet please register an ID here http://www.megalithic.co.uk/user.php and let me ( andy@megalithic.co.uk ) know what it is so I can tie it in to your membership.
    Thanks

I've added an extra benefit for paid-up members, I'll remove most of the ads from the site when you're signed in so you can see the lovely header pictures.

And if we get a few more members I'll cancel that annoying 'One Trick of a Fat Belly' banner for everyone.

Hello, thanks, the address is in the shop:
http://www.megalithic.co.uk/shop/ordering.htm
Although you can also go via the web link for ordering, you then have the option to choose 'Pay by Cheque' at the checkout and not have to give any details to any card people.
Thanks

Am very happy to join now but reluctant to pay on line. I'm assuming you'll get my e-mail address from this message but if not then it's highdizzy@aol.com

G'day Andy:

I have tried to make a £10.00 contribution through the system and it won't let me! I can get to the payments page, but can't get beyond that - it seems to want a figure in the delivery cost. Am I cocking it up, or would you prefer a cheque?

Just registered as a new user, have not received my password yet. Wanted to let someone know this is really a great website.
Maps are an important part of my presentations as a 3rd year an-thropology student and sometimes are hard to find (try finding a map showing Qafzeh and Skhul in the near east). Sometimes ter- ritiries and borders change, towns and villages become parts of larger settlements-names are changed. I found your interactive map very enlightening. Thank you for your time and consideration.
