I am sorry to say that I was not there but would have been had my circumstances allowed. However I would like to know where to get hold of a copy of the film of the Battle of the Beanfield so as to be able to let people invoved in direct action in Nelson BC Canada, where I am now, connect with this important piece of recent history.

I was there - it was unbelievable. Women and kids being beaten with batons. I have never looked at a policeman in the same light. Tensions may well be high this year as lots of other people who were also there will have the same feelings as I have. We cannot allow this to ever happen again. Fight for what you believe in.
