Attention People of Norwich and surroundings - Join Andy B, founder of the Megalithic Portal in the beautiful surroundings of the Grade II listed Orangery for an Evening of Old Stones and Megalithic Portals. (well one to be exact but you know!) Two talks in one focused around our Old Stones book and 25 Years of the Megalithic Portal! Very kindly hosted by Norfolk Folklore Society.

The Old Stones - A highly illustrated talk covering many of the fascinating themes, mysteries and new discoveries highlighted in our book, along with a look at lesser known but interesting sites, including some in the local area.

Celebrating 25 years of the Megalithic Portal and 30 Years of Ancient Sites on the Web A look back on an incredible 30 years of stones enthusiasm (including 25 of the Megalithic Portal). Embarking on a whistlestop tour of sites, stories, humour and early web geekery ... Andy asks, 'Was it all worth it* – and what's next?'

Andy B is lead author of 'The Old Stones - the Megalithic Sites of Britain and Ireland’ book, along with other contributors to the huge Megalithic Portal web resource which he founded and has been running continuously since 2001. The Old Stones is the most comprehensive and thought-provoking field guide ever published to the iconic standing stones and prehistoric places of Britain and Ireland and was previously awarded Current Archaeology Book of the Year.

Books will be on sale on the night at a very discounted price for ticket holders.
