In Missouri at one of the oldest sites of human habitation in the Western Hemisphere, archeologists have worked the Big Eddy Dig site since 1997. The site will be washed away when lake water is released for electricity generation. So they're letting members of the public and volunteer amateurs dig to help their excavation.
