Happy New Year everyone. I have a major announcement to make: The Megalithic Portal is now formally supported by it's own non-profit making society, the Megalithic Portal Society!

As an 'official' society we will be able to do things like affiliate ourselves with the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) and hopefully gain more recognition of what we do.

As a society, contributory (paid) members will now get a vote at our annual AGM.

To encourage more contributory members we have set the yearly membership at just £10. As well as the kudos of being a full voting member of our unique society this gets you a 10% discount in our online shop, turns off most of the ads and gives access to our members only forum.

So if you value what we do I hope you will show your support by joining up this year.

I should add that the members only forum isn't up and running quite yet and there isn't anything else you will need a new login for. I'll send out the passwords for the new forum shortly.

I was not expecting another news letter so soon after December's, so it was with pleasure that I read of your success in forming the Megalithic Portal into a society, a move which suggests preperation for long term continuity.
