"Beaker Settlement Patterns and the Prehistoric Environment of Sussex". This first lecture in what will henceforth be an annual collaboration between these two societies will be given by Dr Mike Allen of Wessex Archaeology.

Sussex has long played an important role in understanding Beaker communities. The first of an annual series of joint Sussex Archaeological Society and Prehistoric Society lectures will show how ideas developed through research in Sussex, by Sussex archaeologists, are relevant on a national scale. The lecture will be based on recently published research into patterns of settlement found on the chalk and other environments in East and West Sussex.

Saturday 12 May
