Female Anatomy Inspired Stonehenge?

The design of Stonehenge was based on female sexual anatomy, according to a paper in the current Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine. Anthony Perks, a professor emeritus of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of British Colombia in Vancouver, and a doctor at the university's Women's Hospital, first thought of Stonehenge's connection to women after noticing how some of the stones were smooth, while others were left rough.

"It must have taken enormous effort to smooth the stones," Perks, co-author of the journal paper, told Discovery News.

Thinking how estrogen causes a woman's skin to be smoother than a man's, the observation led Perks to further analyze the monument in anatomical terms.

He noticed how the inner stone trilithons were arranged in a more elliptical, or egg-shaped, pattern than a true circle. Comparing the layout with the shape of female sexual organs showed surprising parallels.

Perks believes the labia majora could be represented by the outer stone circle and possibly the outer mound, with the inner circle serving as the labia minora, the altar stone as the clitoris and the empty geometric center outlined by bluestones representing the birth canal.

In support of the theory, the body of a sacrificial child was found buried at the center of the circles at nearby Woodhenge, suggesting both monuments followed similar layouts. Perks even speculates a child's body might lie buried at the center of Stonehenge.

Unlike other mounds in the U.K., very few burials are located around Stonehenge.

"I believe it was meant to be a place of life, not death," said Perks, who thinks Stonehenge overall represents an Earth Mother goddess.

He explained that both western Neolithic cultures and the early Celts believed in such a goddess. Hundreds of figurines representing the idea of an Earth Mother, he said, have been found in Europe. They were created at a time when mortality at birth was high, suggesting Stonehenge could have been used for fertility ceremonies, which may have linked human birth to the birth of plants and animals upon which the people depended.

John David North, professor of philosophy emeritus at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, outlines another theory in his book "Stonehenge: A New Interpretation of Prehistoric Man and the Cosmos." North believes the stones in the monument have precise alignments to stars in the cosmos and that Stonehenge served as an astronomical observatory and a celestial map.

While Perks acknowledges the celestial link, he views it in a different light.

"At Stonehenge you see an arc of sky together with Earth on that open Salisbury Plain," Perks said. "It is as though Father Sun is meeting Earth Mother in an equal way at a place looking towards the future."

Amazingly my name is also Anthony perks of Willenhall England. My name sake Anthony perks a professor emeritus of obstetrics and gynecology from Vancouver has a excellent views on stonehenge.
Just a very mysterious and calming place.

Re: The design of Stonehenge was based on a human Eye ball. by Anonymous on Wednesday, 19 December 2007
The analysis of morphology based on spatial geometry of the anatomical human eye ball and the planet earth ball and their relevance to Stonehenge is a step by step future perspective into the methods and applications of a new science.

The new view of a possible relation ship that I can prove by figures, diagrams and descriptive analysis between the human eye ball and the planet earth ball especially in the same tilt of both which equal 23 degrees of arc of their central axes from the axe of their orbits even if it seems (at least until now!) that there is no reason for the two to be similar, I believe can help us to interpret many phenomena which belong to this similarity if we use the logical reasoning.

Launching from the base of scientific methodology and this logical reasoning, I as a doctor of medicine decide to grasp a significance for this similarity which extend beyond the shape and tilt to be similar also in a lot of certain motions.

The utilized analogy for the motions of the two balls as a two suspended spheroid bodies having movement freedom in many directions revealed that there is similar motions in the two balls produced a link help to conceptualize something help in the spatial orientation and position of the two ball relevant to each other in the space.

The harmony of the Eye ball relevant to the head ball in all positions and directions which produce a reflex motion in the eye ball all the time tries to reserve the “12 clock point of the eye ball” as mush as possible perpendicular to the horizon help to orient the human being in this big spheroid universe ball a round the earth ball which also has some motions "I mean the earth ball".

starting from the assumption that stand on the analogy that has been made between the human eye ball and the planet earth ball in shape, tilt, and some similar motions which are co-produced by the same angular radius of the two suspended balls, the similarity between the human eye ball and the planet earth ball can add some information to understand the mechanism of function of Stonehenge as one of the calendar arts that points to the development and creation of the mentality of the Stonehenge creators.
Wither or not this was in the mentality and mind of the Stonehenge population or this is a modern and a recent interpretation, I assume that Stonehenge arrangement design is look like an eye ball horizontally sectioned.

Actually if we suppose “A” is the eye ball with its optic nerve and “B” the earth ball with its sun light bundle then as the eye ball similar to the earth ball in shape and tilt, this proved similarity causes a similarity also in the pendulum like – slow motion of the sun named the ground track of the sun with the eye ball pendulum like - motion named the conjugate eye movement because of the same angular radius of the eye ball and the earth ball, and if we know that the two motions work in the horizontal plane, and the ground track of the sun at Stonehenge latitude 51 north when it reaches its farthest point in summer solstice to its farthest point in winter solstice has an angle almost equal the angle produced by the conjugate eye movement when moving from the extreme right side to the extreme left side in the horizontal plane then we can say the following:-

“A” equal “B” in shape, tilt and position in the orbit, if “A” has the same motion of “B” in the same plane then if we take a section in “A” it will still equal “B” if also sectioned in the same plane and site, and consequently sectioned “A” or sectioned “B” can help to find things related to shape or tilt of “A” or “B”.
By comparison; sectioned “A” or “B” is similar to Stonehenge which proved by many academic missions that its work as an astronomical calendar predicts astronomical phenomena related to the earth tilt like summer and winter solstices which can also presented by the ground track of the sun.

Kindly I would like to add this comment which presents a new view of a possible relationship between astronomical Earth ball & "human Eye ball anatomy and physiology" that may help to understand the mechanism of function of Stonehenge circa in the United Kingdom.

Observations:

0- The Eye ball with its optic nerve is look like the Earth ball with its sun light bundle.

1- The Eye ball is similar to the Earth ball in
a- shape b- tilt c- motion.

2- The tilt equal 23.5 degree angle of arc in both and responsible for a proved astronomical phenomena like earth seasons, summer & winter solstices in the earth ball.

3- Earth seasons summer& winter solstices can be presented by the apparent motion of the sun named the ground track of the Sun which primarily caused by the earth tilt.

4- The ground track of the Sun which describe the pendulum-like motion of the sun in the ground (horizontal plane) is similar to the conjugate eye movement in the horizontal plane as a result to the similarity between the Eye ball and Earth ball in there position at the orbit and in there shape and tilt.

5- The horizontal plane of the conjugate Eye movement if taken as a section plane in the Eye ball will produce an Eye ball horizontally sectioned.

6- The horizontally sectioned Eye ball is similar to the design of Stonehenge Circa which located at latitude 51° north and proved by many academic missions to functions as an astronomical calendar predicts the summer, winter solstices and earth season which are phenomena produced by the earth tilt and can by presented and drawn in a graph by the ground track of the sun.
7- Stonehenge Circa locates at latitude 51° north ((the precise latitude where the angle between summer and winter solstices sun rises in the ground track of the sun which co-widened by the summer and winter solstices maximum moon rises almost equal the angle between the maximal limits of field of fixations of both Eyes in the conjugate Eye movements))

8- The astronomical phenomena produced by the earth tilt are predicted by something designed like an eye ball horizontally sectioned build a link between the Eye ball, the Earth ball and Stonehenge Circa.

9- The link can be described as follow; the earth tilt produces the astronomical phenomena which can be predicted by something look like an Eye ball horizontally sectioned because the Eye ball already similar to the Earth ball in shape, tilt and position in the orbit.

My new "Vagina Monoliths" "Web Sight" that is dedicated to providing the public with truthful and accurate information about Dr. Anthony Perks' new theory that Stonehenge may have been designed to symbolically represent the vulva of an "Earth Goddess" when viewed from the sky, in order to counteract the abundance of misconceptions, misinformation, and possible disinformation, that is now on the internet, is taking form here -

http://vaginamonolithstonehenge.homestead.com

Besides providing accurate information about what Dr. Perks new Stonehenge theory actually says, this new "web sight" will present my own personal knowledge and insights that arise from my extensive research into how the religious beliefs and "mythology" of ancient humanity were profoundly influenced by both solar and lunar eclipse phenomena and will explain how these ancient religious beliefs inspired by ancient, and even prehistoric, eclipses of the sun and the moon almost certainly relate to Dr. Anthony Perks controversial theory that Stonehenge symbolically represents the vulva of an "Earth Goddess".

Actually Stonehendge is designed according to Sacred Geomancy based around the Vesica Pisces.
