The Council for British Archaeology has released further Research Reports and Occasional Papers for online access through the Archaeology Data Service.

The reports include the two volumes covering the excavation of the Iron
Age hillfort at Danebury by Professor Barry Cunliffe and reports
pertaining to the renowned Spitalfields Project for those interested in
death and burial.

The reports can be found in the Library section of the ADS catalogue or through direct links from the CBA's home page at www.britarch.ac.uk

What a delightful and useful resource. I remember watching the Horizon (or was it Chronicle?) BBC tv report on Cunliffe's excavations. Here we have the definitive results via this link. Here we have the facts and informed interpretation and not the tv producers gloss and slant. A bit dry, but then this academe. It will take me several visits before I have consumed it all.

Just had an idea for a tv show though. Revist old shows and report on their conculsion. Oh sorry, not sexy enough - and they say that the media hasn't dumbed down!
