Congrats UK Vegan. This was my favourite photo too. Great composition, lighting and overall technique. Like your other photos. Any chance to see more of your works? Please send more :)

Poulnabrone is a lucky site. Another great photo. Do not miss the other photos on the site page. Some of Portal's finest photos by Ken Williams and others.

Regarding my photo: i am glad some of you liked it.
Unfortunately the resized version displayed on this competition page is damaged and shows some ugly pixel-artefacts. Just click on the photo above and you can see the original photo i submitted. Possibly I should have sent a larger version, but i only sent a small 56kB version.
Personally I liked this photo of the same session more:

It's not your image, it's the way your browser is crunching it into the 700 pixel width (I did this to make the page look neater). It looks fine on my screen but I have an old 21" CRT, perhaps modern screens are sharper.

Thanks Andy, good news. Made a similar experience right now back home: it looks fine on my 15'' notebook screen and Firefox, but it looked awful as described on an older 14'' TFT and IE.
