Bruce Adams, one of our members since 2012, sadly died late last year - he had motor neurone disease. Over the years Bruce assembled albums documenting his visits to many stone circles and related sites, including rubbings of the stones, sketches and lots of photos. Bruce kindly donated the albums to us and we have been scanning them to share prior to finding a permanent home for them. We now have five of his wonderful albums to browse online.
Myself, Nick and Demelza have now scanned most of the larger albums and you can download the results here as a PDF files. (choice of high quality or ebook quality - click on the (...) to Download)
I am also uploading high res scans of individual album pages to Flickr.
Here's a run-down of what we now have available to browse:
With many thanks to Nick and Demelza for the kind assistance in scanning all these pages on high quality equipment. There are more to follow.

My heart goes out to Bruce’s family, it’s a terrible disease, my brother in law died of MND, he was a surgeon the disease robbed him of his body, but his mind was sharp as a pin. I’ll make a donation to Motor Neurone research in Bruce’s name.

That's very good of you - and check back in a few weeks as we will be sharing more of his lovely artwork and photos. I have today posted some of the albums out to our scanning volunteers to get started.

what an absolutely wonderful collection, and skilled artwork. I look forward to seeing the rest. it would seem best to keep it together, not separated. after scanning (a labour of love?) could it go to somewhere it will be displayed publicly? kilmartin museum? Orkney? a library somewhere relevant?

Hello, we now have two volunteers to help with scanning them, then the plan is to potentially go to an archive in Scotland like HES / Canmore. Another scanning volunteer would be welcome if anyone would like to step forward.
