If you are logged in to our site you can view your own visit log as a blog here. If you don't yet have one and you need to reset your password to log in, it's here. If you don't know your member ID then it's shown in the greeting at the top of your email newsletter, or you can contact me to find your old login.
To get started logging a megalithic or other ancient site first find our page for that site - try the 'Find a Site' menu above. Once there, click on 'I have visited' or 'I would like to visit' at the top right of the page. You can also add sites in this way from any of our gallery pages. Once you have added a few log entries you can view them as a table here. From there just click on 'Edit Visit' on any log you want to update.
If you already have images you've uploaded to us then here you can get the Portal to auto-generate a log to start you off, based on scanning through your images.
Here are some recommended site visit blogs to show off what we can now do: Megalithic Matt, Boeddel, XIII, John 4clydesdale7, Anne T and John Lindsay.
You can see all the most recent logs here, and here are our top contributors from the last 3 months.
You can also add 'Trip IDs' to split your log up into individual little 'blogs' for different trips you have done, and to recommend to others.
Nancy McCann (X-Ice) has started to create some trips, here's her visit to the north of Ireland and the Carnac area. Remember you could be creating pages like these for yourself, complete with customised maps with just a few clicks, it's really very easy.

The Portal will automatically choose the best image to illustrate each log, or you can set one manually in your log for each site. The photo you choose can be one of your own or any other photo on the Portal, it's up to you. If there isn't a photo set then the Portal will automatically try to choose one, seeing if it can find one of yours first.
