Hillfort in Aberdeenshire

An Iron Age hillfort overlooks the town of Inverurie. It was constructed at the site of a Bronze Age cattle enclosure. A heavily mutilated rampart is best distinguishable I nthe western part of the fort. In its NW and SW part there are traces of vitrification.

A cup-marked stone was recorded in the middle of the hillfort.
