Cairn in Devon

Information about this cairn comes from the Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks (PDW) - see their entry for the Wigford Down Embanked Cairn Circle, which tells us this is: "(A) stone ring, diameter 10.5m, with bank 2.5m wide and 0.5m high.3m wide entrance on s side".

The cairn is also one of two recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 439543 (Cairn B). It is recorded in its own right as MDV2368 (Ring cairn on Wigford Down) on the Devon and Dartmoor HER, and scheduled as part of Historic England List Entry No. 1002521 (Hut circles W of Wigford Down China Clay Works), which includes details of the same two cairns as in Pastscape, one a ring cairn, the other a kerbed round cairn.
