This dolmen or anta is the smaller of a pair of two dolmens with a small distance of 27 meters between them (see also Anta Grande de Corte Serrão). This monument is located in Pedrogão, from the municipality of Vidigueira, in the Beja district. The site is located in private land used mainly as pasture for cows. The access is possible by a small gate at the entrance of the property. The two monuments are classified together as IIP - Imóvel de Interesse Público (Estate of Public Interest) since the 17th of June, 1990.
About the architecture
This monument was found in better conditions than the bigger one. It is located 27 meters north of Anta Grande, and consists of a polygonal chamber composed of seven granite pillars. No remains of the corridor were found.
About the access
The entrance of the homestead of Corte Serrão is located by the road that goes from Alqueva to Marmelar, at about 1.25 km from the junction before Marmelar. By passing the gate, you will have to go by foot and do a small walk of about 543 meters to the first monument. There are no signs prohibiting you from entering inside this property, but if you see someone it's always a good idea to ask kindly for permition to visit the antas.

- You are entering in private property but the access is possible.
- The entrance to the zone of the monuments may be blocked by fences, they were essentially made to demarcate the land and not allow the escape of livestock. Usually there are spaces in the fences within these demarcated areas where the access is possible. When entering in demarcated land never forget to close the access gate of the location, you need to be very aware because cattle can escape.
- There are no signs prohibiting us from entering so the access can be open but be careful when you explore every time you see this red plaques that alert you for the Hunting Zones. Remind yourself that usually hunters can only hunt at selected hunting days (Thursdays, Sundays and on public holidays).
