Dolmen de la Creu de Falibe submitted by thecaptain on 17th Mar 2006. The dolmen itself is contained within the remains of a stone cairn, about 10 metres in diameter, and with large stone edging all the way round.

Dolmen de la Rouyre submitted by thecaptain on 10th Mar 2006. High up on this mountain ridge between the villages of Fesluns and Ansignan in Pyrénées-Orientales can be found the remains of this cute little dolmen.
Its a tiny little thing, just 2 metres in length by 1 metre wide, and a metre high.

Moli del Vent submitted by thecaptain on 3rd Mar 2006. This lovely little dolmen-a-couloir is approached by an entry corridor from the southern edge of the cairn. The chamber is topped by a gorgeously shaped capstone.
The views from up here are superb, with the Fenouillades valley to the north.

Rottland ("Roland" in french) was the nephew of the french emperor Charlemagne.
"Caixa de Rottland" (in catalan language) has the sense of "Roland grave".

Dolmen d'A Fourna submitted by thecaptain on 9th Mar 2006. About four hundred metres from the Creu de la Llosa dolmen, following the little footpath through the scrub to the southwest, is another dolmen.
This dolmen is in a round cairn about 8 metres in diameter, and has an entrance passageway, wider than the chamber, 4 metres long.

Dolmen de la Balma del Moro submitted by Petercastle on 5th Jun 2005. A view from the fromt of the dolmen. As you can see there has been some dubious reconstruction to one side. The dolmen is off the main path in a woodland clearing.

The tumulus is at the capstone level.
The capstone is 3.20 m long x 2.80 m wide x 0.40 m thick.
Chamber : 5 m long x 1.20 m wide x 0.85m tall.

This nice covered dolmen is situated on the edge of the road between the city of Florac and the Causse Méjan (limestone plateau).
It has the reputation to protect against the whooping-cough if the sick person is lying on the capstone.

The thick capstone has been broken in 3 big pieces. When the dolmen has been restored, the capstone has been put again on the burial chamber.
