Log Text: Car parking is available at SX 72089 80196. Please ensure that the gate onto the moor is not blocked. From the car parking area take the path leading westward. Do not follow the path leading beside the forestry on your right. This row is best visited during the winter months because it is obscured by bracken in the summer.

Log Text: Visiting this row also offers the opportunity to see the impressive Grimspound prehistoric settlement. Car parking is available at SX 69701 80894. Walk east along the well trodden path up to Grimspound which is defintely worth a good look. Then head north east to visit the row.

Log Text: Car parking is available at SX 67576 81091. From here carefully cross the road and head north across open moorland. The row is about 1,300m from the car park. A map or reliable GPS device is highly recomended. Well worth the walk.

Fernworthy stone row SE submitted by SandyG on 28th Sep 2014. Tiny stones protruding through the turf make this row difficult to photograph. A useful reminder however that many rows include stones which would have required very little effort to move and raise. This does not detract from their significance although it is perhaps remarkable that they have survived so well for so long.

Can you spot them. Most of the others are hidden beneath the dense vegetation that covers much of this area. (28th April 2013).

Log Text: Car parking is normally available at SX 52991 86327, but if not the large car park at SX 52545 85369 may be used. From either location the stone row can be reached on foot. A bridge and stepping stones (for the more adventurous) are available at SX 53188 85719.
