An illustrated talk:-
Sacred Spaces in the Landscape - Thornborough and The Sacred Vale, Stonehenge, Healing Wells and more! Wed 22nd June 2005 at 8pm.

In an atmospheric venue seating 200.
The Assembly Rooms, High Street, Glastonbury, Somerset.

"This will be a multimedia presentation held in the atmospheric Main Hall, which is decorated with gargoyles from Glastonbury Abbey. Free admission.
Doors open 7-30pm the presentation begins 8pm. The cafe / bar will be open for refreshments.

The talk presents Thornborough Henges and Ladybridge, hailed as the most important Neolithic site between Stonehenge and the Orkneys. There's a comparison of Thornborough to Stonehenge and new insights into the building of Stonehenge, showing how 'The Stonehengineers' moved and raised a replica 10-ton stone of Stonehenge, as covered by a pre-recorded and live broadcast 'Stonehenge' programme on Channel 5 on 20th and 21st June.

A common thread which weaves through the talk is how water was held in high regard by our ancestors and explores questions about how people lived. We should not forget that ancient sites were built by people who had hopes, dreams and fears."
