EventsTHURSDAY 14 NOVEMBER 2002, 4PM-8PM. Bristol University Archaeology Society and Bristol University Archaeology Department are delighted to announce a mini-conference on Oetzi the Iceman.

The event will take place in the Tyndall Lecture Theatre, Physics Department, University of Bristol, Tyndall Avenue, Bristol. The afternoon is open to all. Admission is £5 (£2 concessions, £1 Archaeology Society members).

The schedule will be will be:

4pm Prof Dr Annaluisa Pedrotti (Università di Trento, Italy): 'The Iceman: who, what, where, when ...'

4.15pm Dr Kate Robson-Brown (Dept. of Archaeology, Bristol): The Bioarchaeology of the Iceman

4.45 pm Dr Paul Pettitt (Dept. of Archaeology, Bristol) and Dr R. E. M. Hedges (Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit,University of Oxford) : The Radiocarbon Dating of the Iceman and his Period

5.15 pm Prof. Dr. Richard Harrison (Dept. of Archaeology, Bristol): The Iceman and the Transformation of Europe

5.45 pm Coffee

6.15 pm Dr Franco Nicolis (Ufficio Beni Archeologici, Trento, Italy) and Dr Volker Heyd (Dept. of Archaeology, Bristol): His journey through the Mountains :The Copper Age North and South of the Alps

7.00 pm Prof Dr Annaluisa Pedrotti (Università di Trento, Italy) : Current research on the Iceman´s Archaeology

7.45 pm Wine Reception in the Archaeology Department
