In response to a recent email sent by me, the Peak District National Park has had to confirm that the Leescross and Endcliffe Quarry applications have been deferred AGAIN.

In a letter to Stancliffe Stone the National Park agreed to the request to extend the determination date from the 30 November 2002 to 31 May 2003.

The confirmatory letter to Stancliffe Stone states - "The additional period of time will allow for full consideration of the options available to take place (i.e. pursue determination of the Environment Act submission, or exchange permitted areas of working or compensation/revocation of the Lees Cross/Endcliffe permission or a combination of these options) as well as further time to review the additional environmental information and take account of this in the environment act submission."
This seems to suggest that proposals have been submitted by the operator to alter their previous plans.

Looks like another long, cold and wet winter for the protestors.
