The construction of a motorway by the Irish Government through one of Ireland's most historic areas has been condemned in a BBC Radio Ulster documentary, Tar on Tara, by the country's foremost poet, Seamus Heaney, and other international experts. The M3 motorway is well under construction through the lush green and historical countryside of County Meath.

Eviction started this morning at 6.30 by untrained amateurs. See link below for details. Several of my friends are currently underground risking death by tunnel collapse.

Just got info over grapevine that the Tara protest site has just come under an eviction notice today. Unconfirmed as yet but almost certain. Get to Ireland and stop this idiotic destruction by any means possible. Calling all warriors

Several of my close friends are currently at the Tara site fulfilling their duty to try to peacefully protect this incredible area. One is currently serving community service after being arrested trying to stop the diggers destroying several probable iron age bodies. Shame on the Irish Government for this intolerable pillage. Fogous, henges and stone circles have all been destroyed in the quiet of the night by violent and threatening men in diggers. Visit http://www.tarapixie.net to read their latest blogs. It is disturbing stuff. I personally know that the people on site are there for all the right reasons and any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. People are risking their lives and arrest to protect what we should all be protecting. Please Ireland listen to your people and stop this tragic destruction of heritage and knowledge.
