DiscoveriesCountry: Czechia (Czech Republic) Jewellery dating back 30,000 years has been unearthed by archaeologists at Cambridge University. The tiny pieces of decorated bone and ivory were buried in the Moravia hills in the Czech Republic.

| Posted a comment under forums-coldrums czechoslovakian jewelry. Think this may have neanderthal origins. Will definitely be checking this one out. Were the pieces drilled or did they have grooves in which they could be tied on? Have examples of both illustrated. Information from this area is hard to come by. Working on a presentation with the migration of the neanderthal and hybridization with modern humans. I'll let you know how it turns out. Nice page by the way, I have several to work on but time is scarce. |

A clue is whether the pieces have holes drilled through them or a cut groove in which they were tied to. Finding locations and media in this area has been somewhat difficult.
