"Just-knock-'em-down-Jowell" has the solution to Stonehenge, Thornborough and all the other nasty ancient things that get in the way of bright new roads, lego houses and hypermarkets! Just knock them down and replace them with virtual copies!

Today's Guardian writes "Listed buildings could be demolished and preserved in virtual form to make way for fresh architecture from the country's best designers, according to the culture secretary, Tessa Jowell. Ms Jowell believes some preservation orders on historic buildings stand in the way of development and is proposing a system which records "a perfect virtual moving image" of some listed buildings before they are pulled down.

In a speech at a Heritage Lottery Fund dinner in London last night she suggested using walk-through computer visualisations of the kind increasingly used by estate agents to replace historic buildings facing demolition"

How about virtual cars? Mine's got 20 wheels and spoilers and everything. Zero pollution and very cheap to run. They even go underwater !!

Maybe we can replace those types of individuals with robots too, or computer generated "slaves"- That way we could save a lot of money, and still have the historical architecture !!!!

Maybe they could do the same with the houses of Parliament and put houses on the site and reduce the homeless.
