The coin records are listed by Van Arsdell number -- VAN ARSDELL, R. D. 1989: Celtic coinage of Britain (Spink). Even at this early stage we show some coins that are not illustrated in this work. A very interesting example is VA153-1 (Cantii):

The reverse shows a seated man wearing Celtic trousers and apparently holding a spear and a shield. The head of this figure is either weakly struck or missing.

The next tribe to appear will be the Trinovantes/Catuvellauni, but until that set are completed I will continue to enhance the images that are already up.

The entire Celtic Coin Index on the Web will be an enormous task, with over 30,000 records, the search engine and a planned database/web interface to handle sophisticated queries and even generate custom distribution maps, it will take some time. We estimate three years for three people working full time. There is, as yet, no funding in place to handle salaries, so we are all working on it in our spare time (one in the U.K., two here in Canada). Hopefully, this situation will improve.
