Chambered Cairn in Isle of Skye

Situated right by the roadside the remains of the cairn are obvious on the top of a small grass covered knoll. The cairn area is difficult to define but it appears to be about 12m in diameter with a maximum height of up to 2m. Six stones projecting from the cairn material appear to be the remains of a ESE-WNW orientated chamber.

Suardal
Suardal submitted by SumDoood : It's not difficult to imagine it once having been shaped to match the mountain. Canmore's OS linked map shows Hut Circles very nearby to the east on the north side of the road just beyond the first tiny stream to flow underneath the road. (Vote or comment on this photo)
