Chapel Hill (Isle of Man) submitted by Ogneslav on 18th Oct 2008. Chapel Hill Viking burial and hillfort rampart.
The Viking ship grave from NE. The hillfort rampart could be seen in background behind the burial.
Text from two information boards:
VIKING SHIP BURIAL
The stones mark the position of a ship in which beneath a low cairn of stones, the richly-adorned body of a Viking settler was buried. Sacrificed and buried with him were a woman, his horse and other livestock. This pagan burial of the late 9th century directly overlay Christian burials in...

Castlehowe Scar Stone Circle submitted by baz on 3rd May 2003. Castlehowe Scar Stone Circle (NY587155).
Ten stones form this small stone circle which is now huddled up against a drystone wall, in a field with a locked gate. On the other side of the wall, there appears to be a stone row.

Bronkham Hill
Date Added: 16th Jan 2017
Site Type: Barrow Cemetery
Country: England (Dorset)
Visited: Yes on 1st Aug 2013
Bronkham Hill submitted by JimChampion on 29th Dec 2006. A multitude of round barrows on Bronkham Hill. The hill is part of the Dorset ridgeway and the barrows are scattered along the length of the ridge, with an incredible density. It must have been quite a sight when they were gleaming white chalk mounds. They're still quite impressive in this state of decay, covered in grass and blending in with their surroundings. This view is looking northwest, with the tower of the Hardy Monument in the distance.

Boskenna Cross

Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 7th Aug 2016. My rating: Ambience 3 Access 5

Boskenna Cross submitted by enkidu41 on 15th Nov 2004. The shot shows the principal face of the cross with its depiction of Christ.
The three-part base is out of all proportion to the cross. The look of stability is deceptive given its three damaging brushed with modern traffic!

Country: England (Lancashire)
Visited: Yes on 8th Aug 2015. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 3 Access 3

Bonfire Hill 1 submitted by LivingRocks on 8th Apr 2005. Pike Lowe Cairn has hard a hard life, part of the site has been damaged by quarrying, it was partially leveled for use as a beacon site, and to add insult to injury I was told by a local farmer that the site was dug extensively by treasure hunters in the 1980’s when it was rumored that it was one of the locations in the Cadbury's Creme Egg Mystery Treasure Hunt, a competition where contestants followed a series of clues to buried caskets to win a prize of a solid gold egg.

Alexander Keiller Museum
Date Added: 16th Jan 2017
Site Type: Museum
Country: England (Wiltshire)
Visited: Yes

Alexander Keiller Museum submitted by JimChampion on 31st Dec 2008. The door to the Barn Gallery at Avebury. The barn is kept very cool in order to preserve the structure of the 17th century building, so it only houses a few archaeological exhibits - according to the NT leaflet it 'tells the story of the landscape through a fully interactive display'. Most of the archaeology collection is in the nearby Stables Gallery. Both are covered by the same admission ticket, unless you are a member of the National Trust (in which case both galleries are free).
