Hello, as you probably noticed, we have been offline since last Thursday. The site was hacked into, our web hosts got the hump with me and said I had to remove the Portal from their servers. So we were effectively homeless.

The site is now running on a server in my bedroom (!) that I am still setting up, so service may not be 100% quite yet. I have worked almost continuously to get this running since we went off last week. Luckily (?) I have some free time to do this at the moment as I've recently been made redundant from my real job. Please let me know on [email protected] if you have any problems with the site. Currently the Portal will not be mailing out new passwords, message notifications or newsletters, this should be fixed soon.

All the team 'here' is committed to keep bringing the Megalithic portal to you for the long term - please support the site with our new Contributory Membership scheme.

Do carry on using the Portal as you were but please bookmark us as www.megalithic.co.uk. (anyone know how to get Apache to mask the redirection to my server?

Just got my computer back after weekend away, glitch cleared, and one of my first visits was to you. So glad you are back on line. Thanks for your emails. Have absolutely no technical knowledge, so can't help you, sorry. Hope everyone else supports you with contributory membership. You deserve to succeed!

It's good to see the site up again Andy, I wondered why it was a little slow in loading, bedroom jobbie huh! Oddly enough, I had a similar experience 18 months ago, which seriously hacked me off. All the best.

    It's a lot faster and definitely quicker than a 56k modem could load the pages. So fine, I'd say.
