Bath: The lives of the people who built monuments such as Stonehenge and Avebury will be discussed in a lunchtime lecture on Neolithic Britain at the University of Bath tomorrow. The lecture, Between the Monuments: Neolithic Wessex and Beyond will run from 12.15-1.15pm at Carpenter House, and includes a light lunch.

Archaeologists have traditionally concentrated on the tombs and monuments of the period, but Dr Nick Snashall, National Trust archaeologist at Avebury, will focus on its people.

Tickets for the lecture cost £6.50 and need to be booked in advance. To download a booking form visit www.bath.ac.uk/ lifelong-learning or contact Anne Olesen on 01793 328800, or email [email protected] .
