The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland has almost completed the process of scanning all the back numbers of its Proceedings [Don't yawn, read on] (published since 1852), the published General Indexes, as well as our first publication, Archaeologia Scotica (published since 1792) and our out-of-print monographs.

The project is intended to allow scholars world-wide to have easy access to one of the richest collections of information on Scotland's past. Absolutely complete runs of the Proceedings are not particularly common and accessing this important material can be a problem, particularly for scholars away from centres population.

This might not sound that interesting, but there are some real gems in the Monographs alone, including the mesolithic origins of megalithic sites (7 & 8):
