An open day at the Museum of London's Resource Centre, Saturday, 7 February 2004. The next in the series of open days at the Museum of London Archaeological Archive and Research Centre (LAARC) is featuring archaeological conservation with a programme of activities and displays aimed at the general public and families. The programme includes displays of conserved objects, hands on activities for children, tours of the Centre and a chance to participate in packing archaeological finds.

On the same day, there will also be a preview of the Museum's Ceramics and Glass store also at the Resource Centre, with tours and activities again aimed at families. This DCF funded project has allowed the Museum's collection of 25,000 ceramics and glass objects to be
rehoused in new storage cabinets alongside digitisation of the collection. Note that there will be further open days for adults in March for glass (6 March) and ceramics (20 March).

Both events are on Saturday, 7 February from 10:30 - 4:00 at Mortimer Wheeler House, 46 Eagle Wharf Road, London N1 7ED. Information is available from the Museum's website at or by phone, 0870-444-3850.

There will be regular transport to and from the main Museum of London building (near St Pauls). All events are free but some activities and tours of the ceramics and glass store require booking in advance as places are limited.
