New Feature: Nearest sites list

Another new feature - this one really useful I think. Each of the main site pages for the UK and Ireland now lists the 15 other nearest sites to where you are, with the distance and direction. Try it with our poor long-suffering friend Silbury Hill

Once I got my head around the trigonometry it was quite easy to work out, as the database already knows the co-ordinates of all the sites.

Perhaps you could test it out with some sites you know well to make sure my calculations are right.

It doesn't work with sites that are only in the eGallery. I will be going through and making main pages for all of the new ones you've submitted in due course.

It will only work for UK and Ireland as I haven't got my head around the grid systems from other countries or got lat/long details.

Cheers,
Andy (Megalithic Portal Webmaster)
