AN EXHIBITION of photographs taken during the excavation of a Bronze Age boat from the River Tay has gone on display at the AK Bell Library in Perth.

The 3000-year-old logboat was excavated on the south bank of the river, near Abernethy, during the summer.

The exhibition in the local studies department, which will last until the middle of February, features photographs taken by Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust.



The boat is being conserved by the National Museum in Edinburgh and will not be available for public viewing for at least two years, when it will be returned to Perth Museum.

Country corrected. The photographs are no doubt on display in the exhibition in Perth!
