The Salisbury Museum Archaeological Research Group (SMARG) is hosting two lectures of great interest to megaraks.

The first, provisionally entitled “Barrows and the ritual landscape around Stonehenge”, will take place on Tuesday, 11 February 2003. This lecture will be given by Ann Woodward - author of the excellent Tempus publication “British Barrows - A Matter of Life and Death” (2000).

The second as yet untitled lecture will concern Avebury and will be delivered by co-author of the 2002 book “Avebury: biography of a landscape” - again a Tempus publication. The diary date for this one is 11 March 2003.

It is recommended that those considering attending should contact Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum (on 01722 332151) prior to the events to confirm prices, venue and ticket availabilty.
