Other ArchaeologyA hoard of valuable Bronze Age gold found in the Cotswolds by a metal detector enthusiast has been given a permanent home in Gloucestershire. The 3,000-year-old gold - discovered in Poulton in 2004 - includes a selection of Bronze Age rings, bracelets, an axe head and gold fragments.
The collection had been at the British Museum, where it was assessed.
Dr Alison Brookes, from the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, said: "It is a positive addition to our collection."
The stash has also spent time in Lincoln for vital conservation work.

It was secured for the county through the Going for Gold appeal, which was launched in October 2006.
