We are delighted to announce that our friends at the Antiquarian Society have offered Megalithic Portal visitors two pairs of Day Passes to the 'Out of the Ordinary Festival' being held in Sussex (South East England) later this month (21st-23rd September).

Note that kids go free to the festival so each prize is essentially a family ticket. The two winning couples/families will be selected at random from the correct answers to this competition question:

Q) On what day is the autumn equinox this year?

Prizes: Two pairs of Day Passes to the Out of the Ordinary Festival
You can choose on which day of the festival you would like to use your passes.

Entries must arrive here by the end of the 15th September 2007

To enter, please send an e-mail (not private message) with subject 'Out of the Ordinary Competition' stating your name and postal address to our usual contact address [email protected], which is linked on our Contact Page.

* Please do not include any other correspondence in the e-mail.
* You must include your name and postal address.
* One entry per household.
* Entries must be as stated above to be valid.
* We will not use your details for any other purpose than to enter into the competition, and to reply once with an e-mail with of the final results.
* Two winners will be selected at random from the correct entries and the winners will be announced shortly after the closing date on the Megalithic Portal and by e-mail
* Closing Date: 15th September 2007
* The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into

As well as the many and varied speakers and workshops that are lined up, one of the key events at the festival for stones enthusiasts will be the construction of a new stone circle as a community project. It ties in with World Peace Day on the 21st of September and will be dedicated to peace. Stuart from the Antiquarian Society tells us that there are sponsorship opportunities for the circle, including the option to get you or your company's name on a plaque there.
