The Megalithic Portal now offers an internet browser search plugin for our pages. It's supported by the new Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla based browsers like Firefox, Netscape and SeaMonkey.

Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.x

Installation is quite simple. Your search engine selector is situated in the top left of your browser window. The selector should glowing blue (Firefox 2.x) or orange (IE 7). If not, go to our search page and click the link "Internet Explorer or Firefox 2.x".

Then click the search engine selector. There is an option to add "Megalithic Portal". Just click it, the search engine is now installed.

(For the technically minded: Another way is to download the megalithicportal.xml and copy this file to your searchplugins directory of the browser installation path (Firefox only).)
Internet Explorer 7 can only handle 3 search plugins, so if you have 3 you can't add more.

Firefox 1.x, Netscape (6,7,8), Mozilla and Seamonkey

This is a little bit harder. Go to our search page and click the link "Firefox 1.x, Netscape (6,7,8), Mozilla or Seamonkey". Okay the dialog. In Firefox you can use it now in the search engine box. In Netscape, Mozilla and Seamonkey go to the preferences of your browser and select the "Megalithic Portal Search" as Internet search engine.

(And for the technically minded: Another way is to download megalithicportal.src and megalithicportal.gif and copy these files to your searchplugins directory of the browser installation path.)
