Butser Ancient Farm submitted by JimChampion : Beltane 2005. The Wicker Man alight: the blurb from Butser Ancient Farm says: "According to Caesar, the Iron Age Britons would construct huge wicker containers in human form which were filled with men or animals and then set alight as a sacrifice." Light rain today didn't dampen the Wicker Man - he burnt very quickly indeed to the delight of the crowd. Another success for Butser Ancient Farm - the event was sold out!

A small TV crew were filming for a BBC1 programme (don't know what exactly) so keep your eyes peeled.
