Found following the footpath to the left before the Longshaw cafe and out beyond the woods along the moorland path is this interesting well in Derbyshire.

It is unclear whether the well is very old or indeed associated with Little John (who is supposedly buried in the local church), but is a pleasant site. The surrounding area has been occupied since the Bronze age so it is tempting to think this well has been used since then!
