Recumbent Stone Circle in Aberdeenshire
Wester Echt Stone Circle at NJ739084 in Aberdeenshire is listed by the OS as Standing Stones. Only three stones are visible - one of which is toppling precariously. Burl reckons it would have had a diameter of 29m.
According to the farmer's wife I spoke to it has been fenced off in recent years - the fenced off area is far bigger than the visible stones but I couldn't find any others in the grassed of area.
