Lochbuie Standing Stone

This standing stone is some 400 yards NNW of the Stone Circle of the same name. It is some 2 metres tall.

The stone circle has three recognised outliers which are all much closer than this one but it may have some link to the circle.

A word of advice if you are visiting this site - and it is well worth the effort if you are on Mull - it is extremely boggy. Wear wellies at least, preferably chest waders! I arrived by motorbike and I doubt my leathers will ever be the same again......
