Pennance Entrance Grave submitted by enkidu41 : A neolithic Scillonian entrance grave 8m long by 2m high. The SE-facing burial chamber is 4m long x 1.4m wide and is roofed by 5 slabs. SW 4476 3753 (Vote or comment on this photo)
This Scillonian entrance grave sits in a field on the eastern slopes of the Penwith moors, between Zennor and Treen, and is in a remarkably good condition.

The small 8 metre diameter mound is still almost 2 metres high, and fully surrounded by large granite kerbstones. The internal chamber is 4 metres long, still covered with 4 slabs, and faces outwards towards the southeast.

Although permission is needed to get to visit the Giant's Craw at close quarters, it can be seen from the B3306 near Zennor.

Note: This tomb lies on private land - permission should be sought from Pennance Farm before visiting.
