TheCaptain visited on 15th Jun 2023 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 5 After a day at St Ives, I go to Zennor to pay my respects to the Mermaid. Whilst at the church, I have a look at the various ancient crosses in and around the churchyard, and Borlase's grave. How fabulous is that mermaid chair.

Trevega Cross
Trevega Cross submitted by hamish : This nice little cross sits on the side of the path leading to the church. (Vote or comment on this photo)
This wheel-headed wayside cross was discovered in 1890 built into a stile at Trevega on a chuch path to St. Ives. After being in a number of locations it was brought to Zennor in 1956 and set up in the south-west side of Zennor churchyard where it has remained. It displays on each face a latin cross in relief with limbs extending to the edge of the stone.

This site is scheduled as part of Historic England List ID 10532 and recorded as Heritage Gateway List ID 1312063.

For information on the other two crosses in this churchyard, see Site Page 33082, Zennor Churchyard Crosses.
