Penmaen Burrows submitted by paulcall : Found 400metres down a track south-east from Penmaen village towards Threecliff Bay. It is quite ruined, and not mentioned in the otherwise comprehensive 'The Ancient Stones of Wales' by Chris barber and John Williams. However, it is marked clearly on O.S. map 159, but I found it surprisingly tricky to find when I visited. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Penmaen Burrows submitted by Horatio : Chambered tomb sits amongst sand dunes. It has two rectangular chambers and an exposed entrance passage. Excavations in the 1800's revealed that both chambers only had a roof height of 1m with the passages as being slightly lower! (Vote or comment on this photo)

Penmaen Burrows submitted by rogerkread : Not at all easy to find in the summer. Go down the track/bridleway from Penmaen towards the beach and keep straight on where a right turn is signed to Little Tor. After about 100 yards find a thin, badly overgrown path (brambles etc) through the dunes on the right. The cromlech is on the right in about 50 yards.

Notes from my visit in June 2013:
Not too hard to find when you know where to look, but probably impossible to find otherwise, the remains of this monument is to be found amongst the sand dunes of Penmaen burrows, high above the beautiful 3 Cliffs Bay.

A couple of large stones, one a capstone are initially seen, but upon closer inspection the top of several more stones can be seen forming a chamber below, in fact possibly more than one chamber. Could this have been an L shaped tomb? or T, or even something much more like Parc Le Breos? Its all a bit lost under the dunes to be able to see.
