Anta do Galhardo is a dolmen built in the Neo-Chalcholitic period. This monument is located in Santa Maria da Devesa, in the municipality of Castelo de Vide, in the Portalegre district. It is classified as a MN - national monument (monumento nacional) since the 23rd of June of 1910.
About the architecture
This is a dolmen with an unrecognizable mound or tumulus, with a irregular polygonal chamber, with no corridor. Originally the monument would be made up of seven granite pillars with a triangular shape, today there are only six. Well nailed on the ground, the pillars are slightly inclined towards the interior of the chamber. The entrance is directioned East.
About the access
This monument is part of the pedestrian route of Torrinha organized by the municipality of Castelo de Vide. There is no direct access to it but is possible to see it over the wall of the property. Within this route you can also visit Anta dos Pombais and Anta do Pincho. You can also visit all the monuments separately.

Aditional information:
- You are entering in private property but the access is possible.
- This monument is part of a touristic route. Follow the signs they will lead you to the monument.
- The entrance to the zone of the monuments may be blocked by fences, they were essentially made to demarcate the land and not allow the escape of livestock. Usually there are spaces in the fences within these demarcated areas where the access is possible. When entering in demarcated land never forget to close the access gate of the location, you need to be very aware because cattle can escape.
- There are no signs prohibiting us from entering so the access can be open but be careful when you explore every time you see this red plaques that alert you for the Hunting Zones. Remind yourself that usually hunters can only hunt at selected hunting days (Thursdays, Sundays and on public holidays).
