tsstorey visited on 25th Sep 2015 These standing stones are a bit hidden from the parking area and can be found on the just past the left side of the car park. The coordinates put it on the right. I didn't see the third stone, it may be overgrown.

Cashelkeelty Standing Stones
Cashelkeelty Standing Stones submitted by frogcottage42 : This stone is 1.1m tall and .93m wide aligned NE-SW it is usually surrounded by rubbish due to it's position in a car park! (Vote or comment on this photo)
Standing Stones in Co. Kerry. Two standing stones in a small forestry clearing adjacent to the R571.

There is a layby with signposts pointing to the stone circles at Cashelkeelty and in what looks like a car park these stones nestle under some fir trees at the left margin.
Although listed as separate stones by the local archaeology trust there is a third stone just visible at ground level which forms an alignment. It seems likely that these stones in some way mark the presence of the multiple sites on the hill above due to their proximity to the most convenient path leading to them.

Cashelkeelty Standing Stones
Cashelkeelty Standing Stones submitted by frogcottage42 : This stone is 1.9m tall and is approx 4m to the East of the other large stone here. It is aligned E-W parallel to the road. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Cashelkeelty Standing Stones
Cashelkeelty Standing Stones submitted by frogcottage42 : This small rock may be natural but it is on the same alignment as the tallest stone and is approx 4m to the East of it. When a line is drawn through these three stones it points quite accurately towards the Circles atop the hill which cannot be seen from this point. (Vote or comment on this photo)

The stone nearest the road to the north is recorded as monument KE108-043002-

This standing stone (0.65m x 0.27m; H 1.92m), which is on the edge of a linear stony scarp, is roughly rectangular in section and plan and is orientated E-W.

The more southerly stone is recorded as monument KE108-043001-) and is on a different orientation to it's neighbour, stands c. 4m to the SW. The stone (0.93m x 0.48m; H 1.1m) is subrectangular in plan and section and is orientated NE-SW. It leans slightly to the NW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).

The location of the third stone mentioned by frogcottage42 was difficult to determine at the time of my visit due to undergrowth and numerous surface stones.
